A web platform developed by Workspace for Croatian Benedictine monasteries, designed to present their history and cultural significance through interactive elements and rich visuals.

Intro
Vita Benedicta is a community of Benedictine Sisters focused on preserving and promoting the spiritual and cultural heritage of Benedictine monasticism. With centuries of tradition, the Benedictine communities have shaped religious and cultural life in Europe. Their website highlights their history, spiritual practices, and contributions, fostering a deeper connection with the public.

Challenge
The main challenge was creating an online presence that reflects the depth of Benedictine life while balancing tradition with modern functionality. The old website lacked the ability to convey the spiritual and cultural value of the communities and didn't provide key features like event info, online donations, and a streamlined way to engage with their work. It also needed to showcase products and resources related to monastic life.

Solution
The new website resulted in significant improvements, including higher shop revenue thanks to a streamlined online shopping experience. It also led to more inquiries for volunteering, donations, and spiritual engagement due to clearer calls to action and better visibility. Additionally, key performance indicators such as visitor engagement, session duration, and conversion rates for donations and purchases improved, strengthening connections with supporters.

Visual Identity
Visual identity for the website was designed by Workspace to align with the rich history and spiritual character of the Benedictine communities. The system combines typography, colour and layout with custom icon designs that reflect the depth and tradition of monastic life while clearly communicating their work, daily life and sense of community.
Responsiveness
The website adapts well to various screen sizes, providing a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Clean and Minimalistic Design
The website features a simple and clean design, focusing on conveying the spiritual and monastic themes effectively. The use of imagery from monastic life, nature, and sacred elements gives it a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
Thanks to Workspace, the client enhanced brand recognition and tourist interest in the monastery, leading to a significant number of visitors. Workspace efficiently delivered all tasks within schedule. Their responsiveness, company culture, and understanding of the client's needs were exemplary.
